Air Terminal Operations
LOGMET operates the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC), performing inspections and operations of aircraft loading equipment; drop zone recovery equipment, mobility/contingency function (i.e. load planning, pallet buildup, cargo courier responsibility and hazardous cargo preparation); and the preparation and rigging of loads and parachutes for aerial delivery loads. LOGMET inspects a variety of airdrop equipment. We perform airdrop inspections after priorities are set, work sequences are determined, and pertinent policy matters have been reviewed. Additionally, LOGMET rigs and prepares unilateral airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop platforms for airdrops. We determine storage location and stores cargo to protect against loss, theft, weather, and other damage. LOGMET receives, processes and categorizes shipments of cargo. Moreover, we facilitate on-time aircraft departures and work all United States (US) Government owned or operated aircraft and US sponsored foreign government. |
